Ohhh, ok... should have been 'mostly against potential/possible playoff teams'. Which, if you're putting the Chargers in that mix ... includes what, half the league? Thanks bro. [Reply]
He shouldn't have added the Chargers in there. But the rest of those teams are legitimate playoff contenders. I mean, if you include the Chargers as a legit playoff contender, then you would have to include the Donks as a playoff contender as well. And we all know that neither of those teams has a shot. Maybe... kinda early to get too excited over HOU and with the Skins, you never know. I get where he's going.
KC owns their destiny at this point, very little room for error with NE nipping at their heels (even with the H2H). I quite honestly hesitate to say too much because I know there's a lot of optimism and love towards Alex right now. I don't see it holding, but best of luck with it.
Solid start through the first 6 games, no doubt. It's all about maintaining HFA at this point. 5-1, with two 4-2 teams and eight teams with 3 wins making the chase somewhat interesting. [Reply]

Of course you don’t see it holding. You’re the same ****ing moron that thought Semen = Smith.
There’s absolutely no reason to think Smith is going to stop playing well. Especially when our OL gets healthy. [Reply]

Actually he said Semen was already as good as Alex last year, and he expected a significant jump in year two, so I’d say he thought Semen would be better this year. [Reply]
Others may be, but that's not what my comments were intended to suggest. 5-1 is what it is, a great record.

Wow... not sure what bug crawled up your ass. Maybe my comments were based on all the reasons why KC moved up to replace him. But, carry on.

Yes, I suggested that after one season, he's at least comparable to what Smith brings to the table. And, playing a full 16 games in year 2, I did/do expect a jump. Believe I said something like 3800 yards with a ratio of 28/14 or something in that neighborhood. Right now he's on pace for about 4,000 yards, 25 TDs and (hurl) 19 INTs... so that part of the equation has to change. I never implied it would be easy, but I believe he'll get better. The Giants game sucked for the entire team.
Pardon me for jumping the shark with those lofty expectations. Kareem Hunt has been amazing for that offense and has allowed Smith to get back into the good graces of many around here. [Reply]

He is young yet.
Kinda reminds me of Brees's 1st couple years, would have some great games then make killer mistakes that cost his team or he would go into a funk for a few games.
I am not saying I think that Trevor will turn into Brees just that their early years are comparable. SD gave up on Brees and he turned it on with the Aints but he also had that shoulder injury. [Reply]

Matt Cassel early in his career reminded me of Drew Brees because he occasionally struggled. [Reply]

They will cut Watson, that is over $7 Mill there. He can draft a RT.
I hope Trevor turns it around, he is still young. He didn't get reps in his 1st year but ended up winning the gig in his 2nd so he has talent, he can make all the throws he is just continuing to make rookie mistakes that some guys never shake off. Cutler never figured out how to not stare a WR down or misread a D.
The Coaches didn't have that team ready to play despite having a bye. I put that loss more on them. It isn't like Trevor can't make all the throws, he needs to learn to look guys off and to not hold the ball forever. I still think the OL has set back his growth. Hard to consistently step up if the LG allows their guys through. Then he is terrorized from the RT. At least Bolles has been a huge upgrade at LT. Move Leary back to LG and that would give him one side of the OL to work from. [Reply]

Yep, it is easy to see in hindsight what QB's are but in the middle of their early years we don't know if it will click or if he has hit his ceiling. Will take at least another year or 2 to know what we have at QB.
I wish they would shorten the field for him and dink it a little more, especially early in games then let the D's walk up then go for the downfield stuff. There is no setting up of plays with McCoy. I thought he would be a better OC. It is still early yet though. [Reply]

Awesome trip.
