Reuben and fries for the next several days

My crappy little town actually had a legit NY style deli open up here last week, so of course I went and got a beautiful fresh as monkey breath loaf of marble rye and thick cut swiss cheese

Trying my hand at something I haven't done in 20 years, Thai style chicken fried rice

Garlic
Ginger
Lemongrass
Onion
Red pepper flakes
Heaping tablespoon oyster sauce
Tablespoon sugar
Precooked rice cooled in fridge overnight
Chicken breast
Solid squeeze of lime juice
Oil, of course
Scallion for garnish

Served with cool cucumber slices

High praise from the likes of yourself, thanks man

Last time I made it 20+ years ago, it was a poverty version with no lemongrass, ginger, oyster sauce or lime juice... and it still hit the spot

This batch should be next level

I absolutely love Chicken Pot Pie. It's one of the rare ways that I can eat peas since I don't care for them very much.

Forgot to grab a picture but grilled some chicken thighs, sauteed corn and a ginormous salad.

Wife convinced me celebratory ribeyes were in order. Dry brined them for 24 hours, then did this wanna-be smokehouse reverse-sear steak. I put it on the rec-tec on 180 for a couple hours then seared it over the hottest charcoal fire I could get. I knocked that shit out of the park. It's what I need to be doing when I have the time to commit to it. Sprouts and pineapple and strawberries. GO CHIEFS!
