Actually, we were.

We played a tougher opponent. We kept our game closer. We had more injuries. We weren't coming off a bye. The team we were playing is used to being in the playoffs and had its back against the wall. A great case can be made that we SHOULD have won but came up short, whereas you guys were just never in that game.

We played better football than you did yesterday. I'm not taking pride in it, because we still lost, and it revealed some significant gaps in our team that make us more beatable than originally thought. But to go, "Well, KC didn't exactly play much better" is BS, and it's just something you're saying to feel better about a pretty awful loss.

We're still going to the playoffs. You guys are in danger of missing the playoffs if Semen doesn't figure out how to win tough road games this season.

Well, KC played better football in the 4th quarter... from what I could tell, it looked pretty miserable for the first 3 quarters and they gashed you guys on the ground and in the air pretty consistently.

Doesn't make the Denver game any more tolerable, they absolutely sh*t the bed.

Yeah, but as bad as KC played, they still had that shot in the 4th. That speaks volumes. Probably win if not for the cheap shot on Hill. KC has absolutely owned the 4th, so that's nothing new. Denver on the other hand....

It's one game. It was the very definition of a trap game. And Semien fell right into it.

It also, imho, confirmed for Elway that he still doesn't have a QB. Kirk Cousin's may feel a slight tampering sensation at some point soon.

Mania and TEX really need this bet. There's a lot of pent up frustration between the two. Let's make this happen. 7-9 or worse TEX wins. 9-7 or better Mania wins. 8-8 is a push. After last night's game, that's more than fair odds for both. I think it doesn't need a perma exile for the loser though. Sig, avy, and a break till next season should do. Neither would welch like that turd know mo.
