Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.
Tyreek Hill, laughing when asked how tough it was to leave Kansas City: "It's tough but when someone comes to you with a lot of money, feelings change a bit."

I have. Us losing had NOTHING to do with Mahomes. He was literally running for his life out there most of the game, due to the shit O-Line, and still was making otherworldly throws despite said pressure. Like you said, his receivers weren't making the plays.
NOTHING about that Super Bowl made me think he is NOT the best young QB in football.
I'm assuming the Chiefs feel similar or they wouldn't have made the trade to take, arguably, the most dangerous weapon in football away from him.
The Chiefs are CLEARLY betting on Mahomes and his immense talent.
The question is who is the fanbase betting on? [Reply]

This just confirms what was reported. That the Chiefs were more than willing to pay him and give him his $$$$$$ (likely Top 3 WR) and then the Adams deal went down and he (or more likely, his agent) upped the price to highest paid in the NFL, above Adams.
Chiefs weren't willing to commit that much of their cap to one player not named Mahomes so they facilitated a couple deals for him and sent him to the place of his choosing . . . . . something the Chiefs absolutely did NOT have to do. But they wanted to do right by him.
The Chiefs front office is not to blame for this situation no matter what anyone wants to say . . . . . [Reply]
This is what happens to you when you're faster than lightning but can only get open on crossing and stop-and-turn routes..and your signature move immediately after catching the ball is to jump 3 yards back... [Reply]

Can you really blame him, though?
He's done nothing but win since he got here. 6 Pro Bowls, 4x 1st Team All Pros, playoffs every year, 4 straight trips to Conference Title game, 2 Lamar Hunts and a Lombardi. What else did he have left to achieve from an on-field standpoint? The only thing he hadn't done was get his bag. I personally don't think he cared a bit whether he got it from KC or Miami. He just wanted it and his agent made that clear. Now he's got it.
Can't really blame a guy for chasing that last BIG payday, especially when he's already proved himself as one of the best in the NFL on the field.
Good luck, Reek. Will welcome you back some day on a one day contract to retire as a Chief. [Reply]
Dude just wants to be in Miami and party. He's going to have the worst year of his career by far next year. Swimming in cash and you can rest assured he's going to have a good time the next 6 months, sure as hell isn't focusing on football.
Whatever, we got his best years and they can pay him to go clubbin' and bang hoes.
