I'm going off memory from a couple weeks ago. Smaller pork butt, like 3-4 lbs.

Sear in oil in an oven safe vesel to get some color.

I just made my sauce and dumped over after it was browned. 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup brown sugar. 4 cloves of garlic grated. One knob of ginger grated. Tablespoon of apple cider/rice wine/whatever you got vinegar. Tablespoon of sesame oil. You could add some chilis if you want heat or pepper flakes. Cover and put in a 350 oven for 3-4 hours IIRC, I use a meat thermometer.

Take the pork out when it hit 200 and reduced the sauce on the stovestop until it got syruppy. Then pulled the pork and incorporated.

Would be well served with green onions and/or sesame seeds.

You will like them. Trust me. You like living in the gutter occasionally.

A little salt, a little pepper, a little butter. Bon appetit!

There is a small six location chain of BBQ places here in AZ called Rudy's Country Store and BBQ.

The brisket sucks as way too much pepper and it always overpowers the meat.

Their St Louis ribs and pulled pork are pretty good, the sides better than average and their sausage is a little too greasy for my liking.

However there is one thing they do better than anywhere I have eaten before: smoked loin of pork.

It is incredibly flavored, not too dried out and makes the greatest sandwiches. I just picked up a pound and a half. Will have on butter toasted bun with mayo and horseradish.

Happy as a lark.

Honey Pimento chicken sandwich. Chik-fil-A stopped serving them and my wife loves that place and the sandwich, so I whipped one up with storebought ingredients.

Found some reasonably priced sirloin at Sam's and did a little reverse sear on the rectec and Blackstone. Since I had the Blackstone fired up I did some cubed sweet potatoes and frozen corn. That was really friggin good. Wife made some steamed broccoli that was meh.

Overall a pretty darn good meal. I was Hangry when I started and not when I was done....

For those of you having broccoli or green beans often, I strongly recommend buying baby bok choy instead. Steam it for a short time in chicken broth, a little soy, sesame, ginger, with garlic slivers. Then drizzle on some chili oil. Greatest green veggie.

Smoked meatball sams

I really can't recommend Amoroso's Italian rolls enough. These had been frozen for about a month and were still money

Also, I'm completely stiff arming Thanksgiving. Ain't cooking shit or seeing anyone and couldn't feel better about it

Grabbed a rotisserie chicken pot pie from Costco and calling it good this year
