Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

6 of the next 10 are at home also, say what you want about the Chiefs D but they create turnovers at home so anything is possible. [Reply]
In the past five seasons, the Chiefs have averaged 75 punts. Through 6 games, they have punted 16 times, putting them on track for 43 this year. That's potentially 32 more possessions that will end with either a scoring drive or a turnover, and we know it's going to be a lot more of the former than the latter.
I know every season's different and maybe this year they have less possessions because the defense can't keep the other team off the field. I haven't dug into all of the numbers enough to know. But the six games they dropped last year were lost by an average of less than six points. Pat's ability to keep drives alive and score from friggin' anywhere is going to make the difference in the games we used to let slip away. [Reply]

I want to agree with you, but to be intellectually honest you must also compare the number of extra drives our defense is giving up too. We aren’t forcing many punts this year so my guess is the net gain is negligible. A win for our defense is holding a team to FGs, not punts. [Reply]

Yep. Our margin of victory now is less than week 6 last year, but our offense is far more explosive [Reply]

You're right. We supposedly made some moves to improve the defense in the offseason and used pretty much the entire draft on that side of the ball, and yet we are hemorrhaging yards and points. Much worse than last year. So comparisons to possessions and points year over year is pretty much moot.
I should have left it at "we appear to be punting less which seems like a good thing." [Reply]
