I'm also going with a guy that's done it for over 20 years. Very very excited
Went out for the first time ever yesterday morning at 4:30. At 9:30 I saw and shot my very first buck. We tracked him for about 100 yards. It turns out I didn't quite have a clean kill so I took a perfect shot from about 75 yards right through the lungs.
He was only a 6 point 2 year old deer, but hey, success on my first try. I named him Tupac because I had to shoot him twice to kill him. We ate some back strap last night. One of the best days of my life. [Reply]

Good on you. I hunted for 5 years before I got my first buck (which was also my first deer). Couldn't have been prouder of him no matter what the size of his rack [Reply]

Anybody ever done a hog hunt in Missouri or Oklahoma? I'm looking at trying to do a spot and stalk bow hunt sometime soon. Seen acouple places online. Vary in price around 300. Anyone recommend a place close to kc or worth the drive somewhere? [Reply]
So how are the birds in KS? Are there very many or any at all? I've found a few more Quail here in SW MO then in recent years but of course we have no Pheasants in SW MO. [Reply]
ive been limiting on mallards about 75% of the time ive gone out the past month...stopped upland hunting about 3 seasons ago cus the bird numbers were so down. I think this year was the best so far in that time period tho. they should be decent next season with the rain weve gotten this year. might go next season [Reply]

I wish I knew some people with hog land. you should take advantage of that and go with him. You bow hunt? spot and stalkin hogs looks like a blast and you can do it all year, no season for hogs. [Reply]
