The point is though, when we have to stope the run we can. I don't think they will be able to do that.

What makes you think KC can? They were 30th in YPC allowed, and allowed more 1st downs by rushing than 25 other teams, even though they faced a league average number of rushes.

I'd bet he's referencing the Seahawks game specifically and our low number of rushing TDs allowed.

You guys are good in short yardage but that's about it as far as run defense goes.

We had some big stops in that Chargers game too.

KC will have to prove they can stop the run. Last year they couldn't if they tried. Hence why no 300 yard passers. Just like CJ Anderson breaking it off in the Chiefs in Arrowhead, nothing they could do about it but take it.

Why would he reference the Seahawks game? They had 204 rushing yards at 5.5 ypc. Also, the Chargers were the second worst running team in the league last year.

Our run defense will improve with DeVito, DJ and Berry back. But losing Poe hurts. We'll see. It'll definitely be improved. Those three injuries last season were a major reason why it sucked. Take away denvers top 3 run defenders and see how ya do.

Just like any team. It would suffer greatly.

KC was awful against the run in 2013 with those 3 playing.

You clearly missed point of me saying "when we have to". The stats say we were a terrible run defense, but those same stats say we kept them out the endzone and got stops on short yardage situations.

Like you said when you're attacking your run defense will suffer, but we have guys that can two gap/command double teams and stop the run when push comes to shove. The Broncos don't.

Well, I have no idea how to argue against that.

We had more than a couple 3rd and short/4th and short stops in that game against Marshawn Lynch. He had like 170 yards but no TDs.

Manning playing his quick release offense was the only advantage Denver had over KC. It neutralized the pass rush. I think this is a terrible stylistic pairing with Kubiak and an inexperienced o-line.

It looks like Manning wasn't ready to retire...or more accurately...wasn't ready to admit to himself he couldn't do it anymore. He was too old to go another team...and Denver wanted to groom AssSmeller. Peyton getting hit..with his arm strength in serious decline is going to result in more INTs like the one in the end zone. He can see it...but the ball isn't getting there fast enough. He should have retired but $14 million is $14 million.

The last few years of the Broncos prolific offensive production are over...He'll still make short, accurate throws..until he's hurt.

Sanders hasn't played yet...but he is a deep threat. They are going to be out of sync for the Arrowhead game. That opening day noise is really going make it hard for those young O-linemen. Houston is going to get a step on them...and that's not good for Manning's health.
