That's interesting.
The Browns' D is an interesting matchup for the Chiefs. They're aggressive and give up explosive plays, but are good at creating short drives and forcing punts when they DON'T give up big plays.
KC has been, very much, an offense that is methodical and executes to chew up yards and go on drives.
One of those things has to give. Which is it? If it isn't the Chiefs' offense creating some explosive plays, could be a long, grind-y day.
On offense, the only thing the Browns really do well is create big plays down the field. That's been a problem area for KC since Watson went down. [Reply]
In reality Morris's two horror shows were against one team (Vegas). He's played against Nick Bosa, faced the Chargers twice, came in and faced Hendrickson etc. The Browns were scary when they had Smith opposite Garrett but hopefully now Andy can give Morris help and be smart with the scheme. Wear him down early and take advantage late. [Reply]

Yeah, Didn’t really think about that. I’m sure Andy and Nagy are game planing moving pockets and short hitting pass plays… The screen game needs to make an appearance…The coaching staff know what they are dealing with whether Morris or DJ is playing.. [Reply]

The last few times they've called a screen, nobody blocked. And I'm not talking about the tackles, I'm talking about the IOL.
It doesn't matter what plays are called if they can't execute. [Reply]

There could be some gamesmanship here too..if the Steelers win the division then the Ravens could be playing at KC for round two.
Ravens win the division...they would likely go to the Bills in round two. Bills are the only team to beat KC...and the Ravens throttled Buffalo. It's a bad match-up for them...
Ravens/Steelers play the Sunday before the KC/Steelers match-up...so the outcome could factor in how they approach it.
If the Chiefs are at 13-1 (coupled with a Buffalo loss to the Lions), they can actually...to a certain extent, dictate who their likely opponent would be in the divisional round.
Would KC eat a potential loss and play vanilla against the Steelers - if it meant they would have to play the Ravens? [Reply]

If Schwartz gets blitz happy as he tends to do in the past, I think Mahomes will make them pay often. If he does the smart thing and just rushes 3-4... could be a real challenge. Need the jet sweeps to be impactful towards Garrett and all that other jazz they like to present to elite DEs. [Reply]

I'm telling myself this is deliberate and they arent showing anything until they have to.. [Reply]
They’ve been a solid first half team, elite 4th quarter team and horrific in the 3rd quarter.
Not sure what’s happening but they need to fix that

They're not playing well enough, whatever we wanna tell ourselves. Put teams away and be done with it.
They're not good in the redzone for a miriad of reasons. [Reply]

The biggest problem with the Chiefs is explosive plays.
They haven’t generated hardly any on offense and their defense is starting to give up more.
The offense has to wake up and start converting more in the red zone. [Reply]
