I just feel like everyone is going to spend all week talking about Mahomes' ankle or Burrow being a Demigod or Chase against this young secondary or Lou Anarumo being a psychopath...and then in the end it's just going to Samaje Perine bludgeoning Bolton and Gay to death.

Agree with you, it's not funny. I think they should let him rest awhile. It's not worth the risk of long term damage. If it's pretty much a lost season for the team, they gain stronger draft picks in the 1st and 2nd Round. [Reply]

That's going to bascially take them out of the picture for the 1 seed, and it might cost them the playoffs in a tough divison with a 1st place schedule.
They are 0-2 in their division. They are proper fucked. [Reply]

I'd have to think that if they have any hope of it not being a problem in the 'coming weeks', he may need another month to completely heal. That doesn't bode well for this season because the backups are not good.
They could have easily sat him these two weeks and been in the same position they're in now. [Reply]

Agreed...and they risked making his injury situation worse by playing him the last 2 weeks against two pretty strong, physical defenses. We know how a lot of the players are. They want to play no matter what. Sometimes the coaches & medical staff need to look out for them and focus on healing. [Reply]

Yep. You don't fuck with calf issues or you end up with torn Achilles. [Reply]

Being in the Bengals locker room postgame, it was obviously a dejected group. But from the conversations I had, it wasn't bc they are 0-2. It's bc players are worried Joe Burrow's calf could be a lingering issue. Thus hurting their chances of getting out of the hole they're in.
