Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

We aren't sunshine pumpers as a fan base. We saw the evidence with Tyreek Hill in OTAs and preseason and some people STILL don't believe us that he's more than a speedster. Dan Patrick isn't watching Seth Keysor breakdowns in the offseason.
But don't worry, they'll all get there.
If Patrick is in HOFer comparisons, that's excellent because if he IS the true reason this team ascends when the playoffs come then it's all about results.
If they want split hairs or throw a shit fit, then "scoreboard bitch" [Reply]

He and Carl should have gotten together. They would have been a match made in heaven.
When Mangini was still doing his, "It's too soon because the NFL gets film on you!!!" garbage, Nick Wright made a joke that was something to the effect of, "You just too scared to assess anything that hasn't been around for longer than 5 years," and in a pretty deadpan and sincere voice, Mangini replied, "Well, it's more like 2-3 years, but yes, I do like to take my time."
Absolutely ridiculous. I'll bet Mangini would have been too scared to trade for ALEX if he were our coach in 2013. Not a big enough sample size of him doing well! [Reply]
Actually, I think it's perfectly fine for some nogs to downplay the Mahomes hype.
It helps to balance Mahomes' impression of the media world. Nothing wrong with it all.
I don't know what Patrick has against the Chiefs, but it's something and it's obvious. As for Mangini, I'll take all the Mangini insults and consider them as feathers in my headdress.
You're only as good as your last game (or your next one). And you are what your record says you are.

This is highly reflective of a game in which the offensive game plan and skill-position players were not creating opportunities for Mahomes, and he was forced to make things happen “outside the box.”
Great article HERE where Bruce Arians talks about how brilliant Pat was in his pre-draft workout with Arizona (says Manning, Luck and Pat were the best he'd seen) and how pissed he was that we managed to jump over them to get him. He also thinks Mahomes won't slow down even when teams get more tape on him. Really good read. [Reply]
