Miso base Ramen with cabbage, green onions 2 way, sautéed white onion, runny egg. Half boiled eggs just would have taken too much time. I would have just watched the pot of water any way. Served in a Corning Ware baking dish. It looks a mess. Didn't care.

Looks great, ramen is always so much prep, I might as well make a few 6 min eggs. [Reply]

You can say that again. I had a giant helping on my Porterhouse the other night at Outback Steakhouse. They were great. I love white/yellow/Spanish/Sweet grilled or caramelized onions on so many things. Pizza, Sausage Peppers and Onions, Sandwiches, Chopped in Meatloaf, 1/4's soaked in Pot Roast gravy.
The only downside for me is that they produce some HORRIBLE smelling gas. The worst of anything I eat. :-) [Reply]

Did you blanch the corn?
It’s just the Americas Test Kitchen way. Get the water boiling. Drop your corn in and kill the heat and put a lid on. Let it sit at least ten minutes but up to 40 or an hour seems fine to me. Just gets it warmed thru and cooked enough without it being mushy at all.
Those chops are about a lb each. At least pork is still decent. 8 bucks for both and they used to be 2.50/lb at hyvee [Reply]
