OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Mangini spent a LOT of time in the offseason making clear what a mistake he thought it was to trade Alex Smith, for whom has obviously has some kind of heterosexual man-crush. He's a defensive coach exemplifying why defensive coaches suck at identifying QB's and why they so frequently ruin talented QB prospects. He just spent so much time gushing over Alex Smith not turning the ball over while insisting that Mahomes would be a turnover machine. To him, that's what it's about. He doesn't concern himself with QB's making plays. He only cares about them not making mistakes.

Everytime he talks about this topic he spotlights exactly why he should never be an NFL head coach. Everything he predicted was wrong. Why should I trust him? How well you predict things is a direct reflection of how well you understand reality.

Papi on Highly Questionable says Mahomes is better than Arron Rogers because he can use both hands and both legs :-)

It's awesome to think about Chiefs Fan who spent years supporting garbage football only to walk away when the Mahomes Show was just beginning. :-)

An underrated takeaway from last night--Mahomes is obviously best scrambling to his right and has made many plays that way.

But he was just as good going left. Even beyond the left-handed pass. He made some big passes going left to move the chains.

Much like Rodgers, you're never safe pushing him in any direction.

Or PMII's awareness of a possible strip sack which was just as impressive as the southpaw pass.

This dropped TD might be as impressive as any other play Mahomes made last night. This is unbelievable. pic.twitter.com/bnjDOKKDKB
