Anyone have a suggestion on where to find what I'm looking for?

What do you think of the rest of it? I mostly like the texture of the leather on the shoulders and sleeves. I'd be perfectly fine without pockets on the breast. [Reply]

I already have a nice peacoat for cold weather and a rain coat material jacket for milder stuff, though there's no reason I wouldn't take suggestions for things to add to collection if they fill some other need in my wardrobe. [Reply]

I have no problem with leather, but I'd go with something a little higher quality and more understated. Look into John Varvatos (though you'll drop more than a couple hundred). [Reply]
Also, if you're a nerd, the Wested Leather Indiana Jones jackets look great and are made of extremely high quality stuff. Available in :-)kin or distressed cowhide.

Oh man. That's nice. I see no nerd factor in that at all.
Any pics of someone wearing that? [Reply]
I'm hoping to get something a bit more fashion-forward (since most of the things I own now are a bit more "classic"), but it's a fine line between looking interestingly good and being ostentatious. Based on what people have said so far, it sounds like I might cross that line with the one in the picture I posted.
I like the way the top one is patterned; it has some noticeable shapes without being too flashy. The back:
I like this one, but it seems like it'd be awfully baggy around my waist if I got one big enough to fit my shoulders/chest. Any advice on finding jackets with a bit more of a taper? [Reply]
