Buffalo loses to the Rams earlier in the day and then the Chiefs curb stomp the Chargers for a statement win to clinch the AFC West and gain a two game lead for the #1 seed.

He got dinged in preseason and how 2/3 of the way through this season. Also had some injury problems at Georgia.
Who could have predicted pairing a thin, injury-prone player whose frame is unlikely to support more good weight with the Chargers franchise could have problems?
I honestly hadn't seen the injury record but he did look small. Man, they are jinxed. [Reply]
Teams swap td’s early, then Chiefs D plays well and offense shits the bed for 2 quarters, Chargers up by a couple of field goals. 5 minutes to go, Mahomes leads the team down the field with Joe T at left tackle to take a one point lead. Defense lets them march down the field in one minute of game time to give up a missed 45 yard field goal try due to a sudden and unexpected gust of wind. Chiefs 14-13.
Oh, i forgot, we will be helped out by DPI, defensive holding calls against the Chargers on that final drive if we ever get in 3rd in long due to us having the Refs in our pockets. [Reply]
There’s really very little to whine about with scheduling the NFL. Teams can turn things around pretty quickly now, or just as easily fall apart thanks to FA losses and injuries. [Reply]

Of course. They took a RT at the top of the draft. High floor move.
It's going to be interesting when the Chargers need to take that "next step" and they don't have any skill players. In the playoffs, "solid" just doesn't get it done. [Reply]
