If JuJu means they cut Moore - I'm on board. If he bumps anyone else, I'm not a fan.
I thought this too, but honestly is he worse than Ross? Less reliable than Toney? I was probably one of the tiny number of people willing to see Toney get a final year to see if we get anything, and an even smaller number of people thinking Ross as a red zone threat might have enough value to roster...but man that bottom of the WR group has a loooow floor. If any of them get canned they can't have any complaints. Fingers crossed for Moore

Until Sky Moore's one decent return, I thought the Chiefs may have been going with the strategy of making sure Sky Moore doesn't show anything in the preseason and try to stash him on the practice squad. With him taking the last preseason game off with the starters, I still think that may be a possibility.

This is an easy decision. Juju and Patrick have chemistry and that's what matters most.

Moore gets lost on inside screens. He was responsible for at least 3 INTs from Mahomes last season, IMO (which, while less spectacular than the deflections from Toney, are no less interceptiony) and he blocks when he feels like it.

Is he demonstrably worse than any of those guys in any specific area? No - but unlike those guys, he also isn't good at anything. I mean NOTHING. Toney has elite short-area quickness and can legitimately play the Z if called upon. Ross can do jump all and red zone work. Hell, even Washington is a great ball tracker.

In the areas he's bad, he may not be worse than the guys we want to see ahead of him. But he doesn't have any corresponding strengths and each of them do.

He flat out does not belong on an NFL roster. This is a guy who's saved by his draft slot (after being overdrafted at that) and nothing more. It's just bad work by the organization if they keep him, IMO.

Also helps that Ross is a moron who can’t even run routes correctly and Toney can’t stop ****ing himself.
As disappointing as MEH has been he’s at least playable. I prefer him as a number 3 back but I don’t see think Skyy is really an NFL player.

I get not wanting to give up too early but there’s nothing to develop in Skyy. It’s not like we drafted a raw athletic freak.

He’s not polished or talented.

Rice - trusted
Worthy - trusted
Brown - trusted
Watson - trusted
Juju - trusted
Moore - not trusted
Toney - not trusted
Remigio - trusted by Toub and can develop
Hardman - gadget star

With what might happen to Rice and with Brown out for now I have no problem with him coming back.

meh I guess. would rather keep one of the younger guys mostly because I believe his knee is completely done for.

100% agree! For whatever reason the coaching staff clings onto their safe and trustable players even when they provide little. Ben Niemann comes to mind as their former defensive comparable to Skyy and Clyde, "Ben's so smart and knows the defense inside and out." Yes, but he was slow and not overly athletic.

2 years in with no discernible development isn't 'early' for a mid/late 2nd rounder, IMO.

He isn't improving. That's the problem.

And if FAU comes into camp next season and STILL can't get off the ball, but BJ Thompson looks recovered and better than him, it wouldn't 'early' to move off FAU next season either.

They have to show something. Anything. And when a guy like Moore simply doesn't, it's time to move on. The 53rd player on the worst roster in football is still an athletic marvel; a superstar at every previous level. There are guys on practice squads throughout the league who have every bit the physical toolbox that Moore has.

Go get one of 'em and see if he can actually get better over a season. Because Moore's had 2 bites at the apple now and simply hasn't.

Juju is going to get 900 yards again and trick another team into giving him 30 million.

That's probably his lot in life for the next few years. Kid's 27 years old in October (amazingly, not even a year younger than JuJu) -- he is who he is. But there are worse ways to make a living...
Wow...didn't realize he was that old. He would have done himself a world of good had he done more to become a special teams ace...he's jacked.

I was referring to Juju not Moore, my point was just that as rank average as Juju is he probably has a higher floor than ALL of those bottom roster WR turds. Certainly Moore, yep, would have no problem seeing him cut.

In an effort to 3 peat and make offensive history, I’m completely ok replacing a young WR with “hopeful potential that hasn’t done anything with opportunities” with a guy that had 1000 yards for us a year ago.

As everyone should.
