I think we are on a collision course with Proto-Mahomes

There’s no doubt that he’s good. Henry really provides great balance for what they run. Their issue is defense right now.

He’s not garbage.

I think he’s the Russell Westbrook of the NFL.

Averaging a triple double in the NBA had only been done once before him. Unfortunately, his style of play never translated to postseason success. Unreal athlete and regular season performer in his prime.

Terrible comparison really.

As odd as it is, it seems to me that their play style isn't optimal for closing out close games, and their defense isn't good enough to let them get up by multiple scores. The Chiefs seem like they can't score, but they CAN consistently get first downs slowly. It feels like half our games this year have involved a 7+ minute drive in the 4th quarter for a field goal that doesn't leave the other team time to come back.

The Ravens, on the other hand, break off long runs regularly, but then they leave time on the clock. They've lost at least a few games this year because they scored too fast.

Said it before in another thread but pulling for the Texans as the 4 seed in the playoffs. That team is not coming into Arrowhead in January in the divisional round and winning. Arrowhead invitational for the AFCCG.

That’s good enough for me. You can tell by the discourse around him that many people don’t even believe what you said, which is absurd.

We have to remember that, for every QB not named Brady and Mahomes, winning in the postseason is hard. Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers playoff records are just a hair above .500. Drew Brees retired with a career .500 playoff record. And these are undoubtedly some of the greatest QBs of all time.

Especially with the Chiefs coming off a bye. Maybe even a glorified double bye.

Good chance the Texans will be playing out Week 18, since it will impact their seeding too.

I agree 100%.

I appreciate Lamar for what he is while acknowledging what he hasn’t been so far (I could run for president with lines like that).

For me, a true franchise QB is a guy who wins a lot of regular season games, constantly pushes to win the Division, and could win a Super Bowl. Lamar fits that for me. The playoff record and accomplishments just determine his place amongst the other greats.

Playoff issues is an understatement. He's been bad to awful in almost all of his playoff games.

His style of play isn't sustainable for 20 games a season, and he's the one that outright said it himself before the season opener.

They're the 2018 Chiefs.

LJ's improved every year, I would guess some of it is reps, and some of it is trusting his arm more than his feet, but his accuracy and vision seem far superior to just a few years ago. He's a handful, but I think the Chiefs have the antidote...Karlaftis and Jones to collapse the pocket, with Uche to make him think about the speed outside rush, hybrid safety/corners to spy, and a shut-down corner to take away his deep options...which only leaves TE in short to medium routes. IF LJ can figure a way to beatthe Chiefs in Arrowhead, he will get his flowers, if not, he may always be remembered more as Tony Gwynn than Big Papi

#Texans starting G Kenyon Green is expected to be out for the season with the shoulder injury he suffered last night, sources say. Bad reality for the former first-rounder. pic.twitter.com/7PA3YPLaLv

I saw that they allowed 8 sacks and 30 pressures last night. That’s insane.

And that wasn’t a one off. They’ve been bad for weeks now.
