Had an NFC Personnel executive tell me “He reminds me of J.J. Watt, when Watt was coming out. An explosive and versatile playmaker who has a high motor and can line up at 3,5, or 7. Very strong kid” #NFL#NFLDraftpic.twitter.com/5qM3g6OrMr

They took McDuffie and Karlaftis regardless because they’re flat out good football players that are very young (both 21), and they have very high floors.
These picks are like the Bolton and Humphrey picks.
Exactly. Wait, you mean we're not getting a *perfect prospect at #30?!? [Reply]

I get it it. It’s easy for us chief fans to instinctively feel like it’s the same ole same ole, but I’m as smitten with Veach as I am Mahomes. He’s proven that he knows what he’s doing. He’s a nimble mother****er who isn’t married to any one philosophy. He’s open to all possibilities and will pounce when he sees something he likes. I really enjoy watching him build this team. Time will tell, either way he's a day 1 contributor and probably better than what we have. You never know. I would have liked Daxton Hill but we did really need a DE and it certainly wasn't a reach, pretty much exactly where they thought he'd be drafted
Veach also traded and subsequently gave a ridiculous contract to Frank Clark. I have zero faith that Veach can identify and draft a de or cb. He's shown zero ability to find either. [Reply]
Tribal throwing out all the cliches "Peterson pick" next will find a play Karlaftis didn't give 100% on in a blowout or a story about him accidentally dropping a weight on a teammates foot and being like see this guy is going to be a bust! [Reply]

I should clarify that I like the McDuffie pick, a lot, but paired with GK, I think Jermaine Johnson and Daxton Hill/Lewis Cine would make a better set of two players.
