What that means is that Bieniemy has the authority to call plays, and is the primary playcaller in many situations, but Reid has final say.
There's nothing to misinterpret about the implication that after the Super Bowl loss, Reid gave full play calling duties to EB and it was signed off in his contract. You can say that Andy has veto power, but the theme of the entire story is that the offense being shitty is on EB, who is in charge and has taken over play calling. And if that's the case, the Chiefs front office is moronic. I ask again...what is the point of doing this? To give EB a chance to be a HC and build his resume? Why is that more important than winning games and getting championships? Andy has now allegedly gone from a head coach and GM in Philly, to a HC and OC insanely successful for the first 5-6 years in KC, to only the HC and not in charge of personnel or calling plays, which is his bread and butter? I don't get it. Or buy it. [Reply]

The loss of the AFCCG falls on Head Coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes II for playing like shit second half against a defense that confused the hell out of him.
Doesn't matter who the play caller was. If Andy Reid gave that much say to EB then it's still Andy Reid fault for the game being loss and he is the Head Coach any matters of beef during the season should have been addressed but there were no problems when we kicked the shit out of the Steelers and then in just 13 seconds tied the game against the Bills and systematically beat them in over time.
If their was a riff at half time and that is what caused Patrick Mahomes II a mental break down then that is on Patrick Mahomes II not Eric Bieniemy because Patrick Mahomes is a "competitive prick" and would have used that as fire lit in his ass. That quote was about as complimentary of a player you can get when you watch EB talking about Patrick it was of admiration saying Patrick holds himself accountable.
Ok when do we talk about the defense getting shredded in the second half and that Chris Jones whiffed on sacks and we couldn't even get but one sack and the previous week Burrow was dropped 9 times in the backfield. So why isn't anyone being critical of Spags?
The team and coaching staff starting with Andy Reid is 100% fault blowing this game. Fans from our rivals will always say Mahomes and Andy choked and anything else is excuses of why they choked.
The thing that gets me is we didn't blow a 21-3 game at half time it was 21-10 so the Bengals were already coming back and down by 11 at half time the problem is we didn't come away with points just before half. Patrick is the quarterback he knows how to lead the team and score points doesn't need Andy or EB telling him what to call but is going listen to the play call and run the play.
It doesn't matter if EB called plays to throw to DRob. DRob is expected to catch the damn ball. Poor execution still falls on the players.
Stop with the excuses we blew the fucking game and we can move on. There is no controversy if they simply just let EB walk but making things worse for themselves by not getting another OC or just hiring him back. They could have said well EB was interviewing for other jobs, they have a right to interview other candidates and hire who they want and even follow the Rooney rule. If they already have their heart set on bringing back Nagy then do so they are not bound to EB to keep him. [Reply]
Patrick did not have to throw to DRob he had other options. Patrick played like shit in the second half and it does not matter what happened at halftime it's an excuse for shitty second half even if true. [Reply]
He doesn't know what he is doing if he has to have his minions scour through a 1500+ post thread to get feed back from a cesspool of Planet-tears to tell him what he should do about the OC situation. [Reply]
The article was bullshit. The fact that there was a need to say "No, The Chiefs didn't throw the game" tells you all you need to know. Everybody can see that was some plain weird shit that went on. Please don't ban me from the discussion. I said all I needed to say about that article....promise..:-) [Reply]

You're one "rigged" spam post away from being banned completely, if the multiple warnings and thread bans weren't enough. [Reply]
