It's about that time for Spring turkey season! What's your favorite call to use? I'm really liking my new Zink Wicked series slate call. Who else here is turkey hunting this Spring? [Reply]

I must have 30 plus calls.
Fav box call is one made by Albert Paul. Paul's Calls. He is in Mississippi.
Have a number of pot calls. One made locally by Scott Ashburn in Grain Valley Mo. [Reply]

Doing some bow hunting tomorrow and Saturday. Checked out my trailcam yesterday and I have four huge Tom's hanging out less than 20 yards away every morning.
Gotta get some more shooting in but I'm fairly confident.
Went turkey hunting last weekend in North Kansas last weekend. We got skunked, saw plenty but they wouldn't come in to the feeders or decoys. We would call, they would gobble, but the Toms kept their distance.
Heading out to western Kansas to hunt this weekend... Should have better luck. [Reply]

That is most likely a bull snake trying to eat a frog it had no chance of swallowing. Watched them fight and the snake tried to sink it for 10 minutes. My kids wanted a closer look so I had to act like a boss and grab it. Frog jumped out of it's mouth when I picked it up. [Reply]

Bull snakes out here are colored differently.
Anyway, cool. I once watched a garter snake try to handle a toad. It had about half of it down before I had to leave. I have no idea if it got it done or not. [Reply]
