Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
MY DESCRIPTION OF PATRICK MAHOMES, HE'S THE BEST QUARTERBACK EVER AS A STARTER. HE HAS BROKEN RECORD'S ALREADY. HE'S FEARLESS UNDER PRESSURE. HE HAS PROVEN HIM SELF. HE IS EXPLOSIVE. HE'S A WEAPON. HE HAS TALENT. HE HAS AN ARM AND LEG ON HIM. HE IS POWERFUL. HE IS A SUPERSTAR. HE IS INCREDIBLE. HE IS THE GREATEST EVER. HE'S A BEAST. HE'S THE BEST. HE IS AWESOME. HE'S DYNAMITE. HE'S A BAD ASS QUARTERBACK. HE'S GENUINE. HE HAS A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR. HE'S WONDERFUL AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I'M TRUELY PROUD AND GREATFUL TO HAVE PATRICK MAHOMES AS A KANSAS CITY CHIEFS PLAYER. WELCOME HOME BABY!!! GO CHIEFS!!! DEVNER ARE YOU READY FOR A MONDAY NIGHT ASS WHIPPING. BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN.... GO GET, EM CHIEFS!!! ARE YOU SCARED, SCARED YET???? WE'RE COMING TOO YOUR STADIUM TO KICK SOME ASS....HOW BOUT THAT..... CHIEFS 38 DENVER 21 GO CHIEFS!!! [Reply]
I was glad Monday Night Football showed the footage of his scramble TD against the 49ers. Lot of people are only looking at box scores and making some stupid assumptions about Mahomes because of Andy Reid's system.
That scramble TD play against the 49ers was pretty much one-of-a-kind talent. Aaron Rodgers is the only other guy who could do that and he's got a bad leg right now, so even he couldn't do it at the moment. Russell Wilson doesn't have the arm to throw into that window. Josh Allen doesn't have the accuracy.
Next Monday with Vonn Miller chasing him around, I think he will show the world on a big stage some more incredible playmaking ability. [Reply]

I'd like to see him put clown shoes on Miller - sure.
But Miller is a fucking dirty player and if he gets a chance to injure the kid, he'll deal with the flag and go for the kill-shot.
So more than anything, I just want Mahomes out of this game healthy. More than any other game on the schedule, this is the one that worries me for injury because you know that Miller will just look to wreck the kid if he can, penalties be damned. [Reply]

My brother in law and I had this convo last night via text.
With all these roughing the passer penalties going the way they are, if I'm a pass rusher or a DC, I'd just decide "fuck it, I'm gonna get flagged anyway, I'm gonna blow this guy up".

He's just a sentient cliche who's waiting for enough checks to clear at this point. If he just stays in his lane for 14 more weeks, he can pay cash for that nice 36 footer he has his eye on.
Yea simply put he offers absolutely nothing unique in perspective. That goes for about 75% of the talking heads though. [Reply]

Dirty player for sure. Worst hit on a Tech QB I have ever seen was Vonn Miller cheap shot on Graham Harrell, a solid 2 seconds after he let the ball go. Took out his knees. Refs threw the flag, but I think he should have been ejected from the game. [Reply]
People keep talking about pat overthrowing guys this week.. it did happen a couple times, but the most egregious example was the ball to Demarcus Robinson that he couldn't quite get too. I was extremely close to that play and Pat did not overthrow him. He 100% ran out of gas at the end of his route. You could see it in real time, and the when the ball went over his head you could 100% tell it was because he was slowing down. Hell, he could barely get off the field before the next play he was so winded. [Reply]

I didn't see that, but you could be right. I thought it was a bit weird he didn't even stretch out for it. [Reply]
