yep since that shitshow on christmas against the raiders
man the feeling after that game was so low. having not lost a game since that debacle is wild. [Reply]
JuJu was going to be open-ish here for a deep shot from Mahomes. X was pitching that ball to Mahomes.
One of those learning experiences for Steele. An unexpected blitz is coming on the pass play. Kelce tries to get a shoudler in before his delayed release. The blitz has cooked the play. So just have to run forward. I expect to see this play down the road with adjustment to blitz. pic.twitter.com/2txeYSUXmb

This might be Andy's best year coaching wise in KC. Injuries left and right, Kelce is starting to show his age, and Mahomes has more INTs than TDs, and we're undefeated. Turning chicken shit into chicken salad every single week. It really does look like the Patriots of old. It doesn't have to look good, as long as you finish the week with the W.
Credit to Veach for grabbing Juju and Hunt, and obviously credit to Spags for the insane job he's done with the defense, but it all starts with Big Red. [Reply]
I almost wanted to make a Matt Nagy appreciation thread but this is as good a spot as any.
This offense is a mess man. And every week it's "Matt Nagy sucks!!!"
And I just don't get it. We're building the damn plane as we're flying it and finding ways to make it work. It's not ideal or pretty. It's not even that much fun. But that's not their job.
Their job is to do the best they can with what they've got and in 3-4 weeks they've fundamentally altered the entire identity of an offense that they've spent 5+ years building.

It's impressive as hell.
It doesn't matter if we're building the plane as we fly it. That's what we do.
If doesn't matter if the plane is ugly and other aviators don't like it. It gets the job done.
We're innovators.
We're attempting to do what no one else in history has ever done!

Yeah, it's been brilliant. Lose your starting RB and top 2 receivers? Fine, we'll bring in some other guys to help. Lose one of those guys after a superb game? Fine, we'll make it work.
It's beyond impressive at this point. Of course, whatever they're doing on the offensive side still somehow pales in comparison to what they're doing on D. [Reply]

Last year's defense along with this year's defense are probably the best back to back units this team has fielded since the DT, Neil Smith, Dale Carter era. And almost all of them are homegrown with only McDuffie and Karlaftis being round #1 picks. [Reply]

The WAY they're doing it is going to continue making me nervous.
They don't get much pressure from their down linemen and they don't really generate turnovers.
But you can tell luck from skill by its duration and they just keep getting the job done. [Reply]

I think we had this conversation in 2022.
The offense is more than the sum of it's parts.
That '22 team had NO RIGHT to be #1 in points and yards :-) [Reply]
