Trevor didn't win it by default, he retained his position. And, if by exactly the same means he will be in the 3700 yard range with a TD/INT ratio of 25/14... I'm good with that. Trevor needed to complete about 1.4 more passes a game last year to have a completion rate in the 65% range. Not terrible by any definition.
So, however you spin it... I think they're in a good spot, despite Lynch flaming out. They lost very little in that investment.
Huge question marks at QB and just about all of your best players are 30+ or close to it

Best qb is a WR from Greeley who they would've cut before last night :-)
Congrats on another 6 years of Elway leadership and decision making.
Oh and Reid chose one of the smartest QBs in the league and constantly talks about his gigabytes, you really think he was interested in the dumbest QB prospect many have ever seen? #Elwaygotowned [Reply]

Weird. Trevor was drafted in 2015... They traded a 3 to move up 5 spots for Lynch (so two picks, not 3). They've drafted a QB late every year. But yeah, they somehow got owned... solid logic. :-) [Reply]
Their roster is going to be vacant in a season or two....you just cant consistently whiff on high picks. They have nothing in the way of up and coming talent.... [Reply]

Semantics, but I guess that is about all the sad little donks have left:
1. Rd1 pick # 26 Selected the biggest QB bust since Jamarcus and Manziel, well they both actually started some NFL games which it appears Lynch may never do, so he may actually trump them.
2. Rd1 pick # 31 traded away for Lynch.
3. Rd3 pick # 94 traded away for Lynch.
Is that somehow not 3 picks used for Buston Lynch? [Reply]

Wow a good and bad move by Elway. Good that he got something for him, but bad that he wasted a 2nd rd pick on this guy.
:-) Another offensive bust drafted by Elway. [Reply]

Ha, Jesus it just keeps getting better by the second and we get to enjoy at least 6 more years of this type of dumbassery. [Reply]

Cute but no. Would the Broncos have had 3 picks without the trade? They gave up the 3 to swap places in R1. [Reply]
They are already try to figure out how to trade up for a 2018 QB at the Mane...:-) It would likely cost them a few #1s and #2s. Donald is going to be untouchable...and the Bills are tanking it too.
Lynch busting was more expensive than you are letting on.... [Reply]

Enjoy predicting the future by living in the present on the Mane... [Reply]
