The other thread is a dumpster fire. I'm sure this will become one as well, but might as well start with a clean slate. I'll at least try to keep the OP updated with any notable news. Feel free to PM me if I miss anything good.

Not sure how he can attend the trial during the season so he has a good case for getting it pushed. I mean he COULD but I doubt they would push it too hard.

It would. Probably anyway.

That's why I'd rather they just hand down a decision now. Give him a 4-6 game suspension to start the season, get it over with, and be done with it. Better than waiting until Jan. and then they hand him a 4-game suspension.

But I get waiting to see how the criminal trial pans out, though based on what we've heard, it shouldn't be much of a trial.

I'd be fucking shocked if you can just delay your criminal trial because you've got to go to work. I'm no expert in the American judicial system but that sounds quite improbable.

Has the NFL ever selected playoff games for a player’s suspension when they could just as easily have selected any of the regular season games that same season?

His suspension will come during the season, or next season. They can push up or back trials.

You can easily get that shit pushed back multiple times. Happens all the time. Criminal trials can take years to get done. It's pretty crazy. You have the right to a fair and speedy trial, but that doesn't mean you can't drag your feet.

They can't/won't push a trial up.

Rice is innocent.

They’ll probably eventually reach a plea deal on the criminal charges… so no trial and the timing will be after the season.

Clarity from @NFLprguy, on #Chiefs WAr Rashee Rice: “We don’t anticipate he’ll be placed on commissioner’s exempt unless there is a material change in the case.”

You guys... no one outside of Kansas City cares about this. Dude was in a non-injury accident with no DUI in the middle of the day. It just happened to occur during a slow news week. I promise, the Dallas community isn't marching for restorative justice here.

All these tweets on #Chiefs WR Rashee Rice the past 2 days don't matter. What matters: When he has officially been charged in his criminal case (no public records indicate he has) & a criminal trial date is set (December 2024 and June 2025 are civil trials). Until then, the NFL's…
