OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

He probably will, but you never know just how desperate another team will be to replicate what we've done at the end of the year. Teams regularly hire Belicheck disciples in a vain attempt to replicate the success even though it has never worked. At least with the Reid tree you can see there's been some success.

What an idiot, they are not even close. Like comparing a Lamborghini to a horse and buggy. Yeah, they both carry passengers- so they are the same!!!
Like comparing a butcher to a surgeon

It was more than one poster. They liked Pederson, they liked Nagy, but they didn't trust Bienemy. It was as stupid as people not wanting Reid as our HC.

I assume Kafka is waiting in the wings. Not sure who there is after that.

I don't think Reid will have a problem finding talented people to be on his staff.

I don't either; I just don't know who they will be. He seems to have done an excellent job at identifying talented youngsters, though.

It was insane.
Why was it insane? Bieniemy had never held an NFL coaching position other than RB coach, and the team was coming off a season where Reid gave up playcalling midseason. His stint as OC at Colorado wasn't exactly successful. It was 100% fair to have concerns about his ability to step up into that role.

EB certainly has the "coach speak" part of the job down, that's for sure.

I love EB (have since he was at Colorado ... didn't like him much in SD, though), but if I hear the phrase, "attention to detail" one more freaking time, I'm going to send him a jeweler's loupe.

**** I’m so excited to be going to see that live with perfect seats.
This is definitely the measurement game for both teams. I expect both teams to be undefeated going into that game. Hopefully Berry is back cause I suspect we can shut down their run game. Bortles is good for a couple picks.

That's an interesting point ...

Who comes down to Earth first; Bortles or Mahomes?

What coordinating roles had Pederson and Nagy served in prior to becoming OC in KC?

I'd argue OQC and QB coach are closer to OC than RB coach, and there was no guarantee they'd be successful, either. But, it's a fair point. Clearly, it's Reid's system, and the OC probably has significantly less impact in KC than on other teams, but I still think it's fair to have questions about his ability to do the job with no prior experience.

He said today he already has an interview lined up with Mahomes on Saturday.
