Look, not to rehash the pissing contest... but the kid was far better than many here care to give him credit for being in 2016. No, he wasn't spectacular, but considering everything involved - he showed a lot of upside.
It's not like there weren't numerous other issues aiding in the problems of an offense with a 1st year starting QB.
59% completion percentage... would like to see that over 65% in Year 2
18/10 TD/INT Ratio ... would like to see 24/8 ratio
3,401 passing yards (242 pga) ... solid, play 16 games ... would like to see 3,900 yards
250+ ypg in 8 of 15 ... would like to see more consistency, 12+ games
Broncos finished top 5 most punts ... would like to see them in the bottom 1/2
Broncos finished 27th rushing offense... gotta be in the top 1/2
Those are the little things and I don't think my expectations are really all that crazy. Hell, just complete 27 more passes in 2016 and he would hit that completion %. [Reply]

Wouldn't you agree?
The stats for a half are not bad. If you saw him actually play you would know.
Sanders didn't do him any favors either. Guy had 3 bad passes in a half and was moving the ball picking up 3rd downs like 3rd and 7 and 3rd and 10, should have sneaked it on 3rd and 1 though but it is PS and they wanted to work on short yardage. [Reply]

I loved watching your only WR drop wide open balls too. Going to be hard on any QB who plays for you guys if reek goes quite for a half like he did.
Then today's desperation move to find a LB.
Wow you are such a baffoon. Terrell Owens, Jerry Rice, Tim Brown......the list goes on and on. THey have all dropped balls. Jerry Rice admits to using stickum. Point is, Hill is as sure handed as any receiver in the league. He had a bad game. So what? And as far as Ragland being a desperation move. Are you serious?? A guy with first round talent that was drafted just last year for a 4th 2 drafts from now is NOT a desperation move. The guy fits our scheme and came CHEAP! He never would have cleared waivers for us to have an opportunity to sign him, so he was worth the pick. Tell me how well ElFraud has done on his 4th round picks. We have a better chance of success with that 4th round pick than you guys do with whoever ElFraud picks in the 4th. Even in the first. Speaking of desperation picks. That's what Garrett, tell me about the bunnies, Bolles was. [Reply]

For a 7th round pick he had very Alex Smith like stats. I'm not sure he's your answer at qb, but a serviceable qb from the 7th may end up being Elways best offensive pick! [Reply]

Lol. Way to go out on a limb there Run. ElFraud can't draft for shit, so he is going to go out and try to sign the best free agent quarterback available. I'm sure that you're right. He needs a quarterback. He will try to sign one. [Reply]

Hillbilly boy running his gums about a GM who went to to SBs and won one of them while winning the West 5 years in a row all in his first 6 years in office.
Sometimes you plebs are amusing. [Reply]

Just replace the word GM with PM and you got it a little more accurate. [Reply]
