Not good, not great, but ELITE. And of all things, he's a Chief. He's
ours. No quitting, no settling, no giving up; no such thing as a dead play to Mahomes. It's just not in his vocabulary.
Was it worth it?
Was it worth season after season of coming up short or not being in it at all?
Was it worth era after era of QB's that couldn't perform at the next level, some who could barely even
compete???
Was it worth trying to muster up some kind of dignity through back to back losing seasons, knowing that your coaching staff and half of your roster needed to be shit-canned in the name of mercy to all?
I say "yes". Undoubtedly and unequivocally YES.
We're not watching the development of a player. To describe this event in such a manner is to not fully understand or appreciate what has been placed before us. No, this is the greatest ride that we could have ever asked for, far beyond our desire to possess and field a Franchise QB.
This is the birth and debut of greatness. TRUE greatness. And it's all
ours.
