Some fun here. Edwards-Helaire rushed for 1,415 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior .. all-purpose yards -- receiving (55 receptions, 453 yards) and kick returner (KEY) 10 returns, 214 yards pic.twitter.com/3Duq1jjy6J
Holy offense Bat Man. I love Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He is best Rb in the draft. Watkins and Hill deep. Kelce in the middle. And Edwards-Helaire underneath. Good Luck defenses.
Brett Veach told Andy Reid to watch some Clyde Edwards-Helaire film and told Reid you’ll see Brian Westbrook. Reid watched. Then got back to Veach and said he’s better than Westbrook.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire made the most of his opportunities by taking advantage of the Texans when they featured a light box at snap (6-or-fewer defenders).
If the Chiefs can kill light boxes like that, you pretty much have to abandon them. You can't get killed via 1,000 papercuts against this team because it's just a matter of time before you'll bleed out.
So you have to keep at least 7 in the box and at that point you really do have to pick between Kelce wrecking you 12 yards at a time or Hill/Watkins gashing you to death.
There's just no way to scheme this team. All you can do is hope to out-execute them and w/ these weapons and the preparation this coaching staff provides, that's a pretty cruddy bet.
To defend them you just have to hope you can hang from a pure talent standpoint and you get a couple of lucky breaks. There are maybe 3-5 teams that can hope for that and even then, they need something like the 49ers got where Mahomes just wasn't feeling it for a couple quarters.

That is some Barry Sanders/Darren Sproles juke ability right there. Gonna be fun to watch Clyde moving forward. I don’t think we have to worry about drama off the field with Clyde. Huge upgrade from Kareem Hunt in that area. [Reply]
