One of the best WR prospects at the catch point and winning leverage mid-route. He consistently sets up defenders to put them on his back, locates the ball, and attacks it at the highest point.
Rashee Rice was drafted with pick 55 of round 2 in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 9.53 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 145 out of 3062 WR from 1987 to 2023. https://t.co/lwD9tvVPvvpic.twitter.com/YjucxErSE1

He had that one play against the broncos where he caught the ball out on a WR screen or close to it, and just took off in a straight line at immense acceleration and mass. I bet a bunch of defensive backs were terrified. [Reply]

that reminded me of the scene in lord of the rings when the rohirrim all mow down the orcs simply by being on horseback at 300 miles per hour

With the Rice pick, it seems like Beach may be applying the same RAS DB approach to receivers.

Sky sucks. Pickens was the guy we should have taken instead of the trade back. At least Alec Pierce sucks to so 1 of the 3 guys taken there hit. [Reply]

Truth. It seemed like such a no brainer when he fell in the draft and was there for the taking. But I really think that was a "miss by choice." There had to have been a reason why they passed on Pickens. Im sure they knew he was far more physically talented. [Reply]
