Anyway, I started the pivot today and was cleaning the nozzles when I look out and see this doe laying down in my wheat. I HATE deer. Hate them. A lot. And all the bastards around my field there are tame as hell. They piss me off. Infinitely. So I sicked Chief dog on it. I figured he needed to run some.

Well, it turns out I'm an ass. Apparently this deer had been hit (I saw some headlight shards on the road and didn't think anything about it) and was all broken up. So Chief dog chases it down the field some and I can see it's back leg just flopping around, and it's front one on that side is pretty screwed up too. Eventually it couldn't take the pain any more and laid down. I didn't have a gun, so I guess the coyotes are going to have to have it. I really need to get a gun into my pickup. I guess at least it doesn't have antlers to ruin (more) tires.

I did feel bad for it. I'm a cold hearted bastard, but I wish I had a gun to put it down.

Here is chief dog giving it hell.

Here you can see his back leg doing a whole lot of not a damn thing. I had to zoom in and crop it quite a bit. I wasn't keeping up in my rubber boots.

Dnt feel bad. Mother nature will turn her into excellent food for the yote pups that are filling up the dens all around you right now.

Jesus. We've got massive coyote problems. I haven't taken the time to hunt them. In the pasture adjacent to Dads place a guy took out 14 of them in one evening.

You're welcome to come use those if you would like.

Yeah, there's a few. One is fairly new, most of them aren't nice, but we'll get you a place one way or the other. You're welcome any time. I've got a decent idea where they are at.

Why do you think they are pain to clean?

Check this out, this is my Dad I recorded a few years ago skinning a squirrel. He's better at it than I am, but still it's a really simple way to skin them.

I checked twice to make sure the date on the camera was correct. He's one of several that are still holding on to them. At this time last year I already had pictures of an inch or two of new antler growth. :-)

Ruger Gunsight Scout .308 with an eotech.
Love the gun but the Eotech isn't the right optic.
