Nzoner's Game Room>The Front Office Should be Ashamed of Themselves
comochiefsfan 06:47 PM 12-10-2023
Look at what they’re doing to the best player in the game.

His own teammates are consistently sabotaging him on a weekly basis.

And now he’s finally emotionally coming unglued.

Just a complete embarrassment all the way around.

Total malpractice and an absolute waste of your biggest investment.

If Veach and Reid had any balls they would cut Toney tonight as he has now single handedly cost us not one but TWO games. I wouldn’t blame Pat if he went scorched earth in his presser. Someone has to hold these clowns accountable and if the FO and coaching staff won’t then maybe he should.

Either way this is unacceptable and shameful.

You're welcome for the extra convoluted run-on sentence.

And like it or not, Veach/Reid put themselves in this spot when they traded Tyreek. Sure, they showed they could make it work for a bit by tool boxing the WR's last year with JuJu as the chain mover and MVS worked as the deep threat. But it wasn't a good group at all and to not add a vet chain mover when you let JuJu walk was a HUGE unforced error that didn't require special forecasting powers.

In 6 drafts, Veach and the scouts have added ONE viable NFL WR that can play as a 1, 2 or 3 on most teams. That is Rice. Hardman was useful here as a gadget but he wouldn't play much of a role on most NFL teams.

Bruh, the Chiefs LED THE LEAGUE IN OFFENSE LAST YEAR.

MAHOMES SET THE QB YARDAGE RECORD.

They won the ****ing superbowl against the #1 defense in football. That's just a tiny bit better than "making it work". It won a title.

Juju left, Rice was drafted.

Would you trade Rice for Juju straight up?

Nobody doing that deal.

Here is the way I look at it-
The WR crew is bottom of the league. Nobody expected that.
The Chiefs would have 2 more wins if the Refs did their jobs. Cheffers hates all things Chiefs.
The glass is way more than half full. Will they go to the SB?- they have as good of a shot as any other team. I would never count out AR and PM.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall, and this fall has been rough.

They are as bad of an offense as there is in the NFL. End of story.

Shrug.

We can’t keep going for it all. We want as many reasonable shots at letting Mahomes take us all the way. Veach is obviously trying to make sure there isn’t any one year where the cap implodes the team around him.

This one didn’t work out even though in theory it was the same team as last year. You know who’s really brilliant at fixing shit over the course of an offseason? Andy.

The whole franchise saw last year and thought Mahomes could do this again but McKinnon is washed and Kelce is starting to look his age as well as the OL regressing. They need a reset.

Doesn't help that Mahomes just redid his contract to push his cap hits way higher the next few years instead of just leaving it alone.

It's hard for any GM to build a SB roster when the QB is making a ton of money and they're picking late very rd. We've seen it time and time again franchise after franchise

His point about Rice being good has nothing to do with answering why Veach didn't add vet WR's also.

There’s a difference between simply having a down year and not being a SB contender every single year (which is completely understandable) and the offense turning into a bottom 5-10 group with a bad OL, historically bad WRs, bad coaches, etc.

They're gonna be 9-6 and make the playoffs. You're acting like they're a 5-12 team :-)

The offense all starts with the offensive line. The tackles are atrocious. Every play Mahomes is scrambling for his life. Add in the fact the receivers can’t separate, run poor routes or fail to adjust to Mahomes’ scrambling all adds up to an ineffective offense. Until the tackles and receivers have an epiphany in the next two games where they suddenly ‘get it’, this team will be a one and done playoff team. The bright side is, at least we won’t have the 31st or 32nd pick in the first round in this upcoming draft.
