I'm trying to think of a way to visualize what makes this such a great trade and I think the best way I can do it is to call into mind a 3-4 defense, especially when Omenihu is healthy.
Give yourself an odd front with:
Omenihu -- Jones -- Karlaftis
That's a NASTY odd front, right?
Now behind that you have Bolton and Tranquill in the middle with Uche and Chenal at OLB.
BOTH of those guys can get down on the line and as a defense, you have no earthly idea which one it might be. And both of them can get back into short zones. And you don't know which one THAT will be. You're probably looking at a 4-3 front when the play actually starts...but you don't know that.
And because Spags is a lunatic, at any given point you could send BOTH to the line and run a 5-2-4. And if you send that out there with a 3-safety sort of heavy look with Bolton or Tranquill at MLB, you could go with a 5-1-5, 4-2-5, 3-4-4 and just about any goddamn lunatic defensive look in between.
Spags can have a FIELD DAY with this guy because he can play up or down. So can Chenal. And you have safeties that can play back or in the box. You have guys in Omenihu, Jones AND Karlaftis that can all play inside or out.
It's a seemingly impossible defense to pigeonhole and a pre-snap look is just masturbating at that point - why bother? You have no idea what they're ACTUALLY going to run.
