Idiot Woman Drives For 900 Miles Instead Of 90 Thanks To GPS Error
We know that older people have a hard time comprehending the commands of modern technology, but this 67-year-old woman must have been especially dense.
Because her GSP mistakenly told her to drive 900 miles instead of the 90 miles required to get her where she wanted to go, she actually did.
Sabine Moreau left her home town of Hainault Erquelinnes, Belgium to pick up a friend at a train station in Brussels, just 93 miles from her home. Instead of using common sense when her GPS told her the station was 900 miles away, Moreau ended up in Croatia after spending several days in a car driving all over Europe.
She stopped twice during the journey to get gas, slept for a few hours on the side of the road, and even suffered a minor car accident. Yet she still didn’t get the picture that she was driving into different countries instead of the to the train station.
She knows it sounds weird, but she was distracted, she said:
“I was distracted, so I kept driving. I saw all kinds of traffic signs, first in French, then German and finally in Croatian, but I kept driving because I was distracted. Suddenly I appeared in Zagreb and I realized I wasn’t in Belgium anymore.”
No Sabine, you weren’t in Belgium anymore. God almighty I wonder what kind of fucked up mistakes I’m going to make when I’m 67.
