Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who suffered a dislocation of his sternoclavicular shoulder joint Saturday night, was discharged from a Jacksonville-area hospital this morning and now has been cleared to return to Kansas City.
#Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is expected to miss four to six weeks with the sternoclavicular injury he suffered, per multiple sources. Opening night is three weeks from this Thursday night.
Sources: The #Chiefs are placing WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown on IR, and he will undergo surgery to repair his dislocated SC joint. After multiple imaging studies, it was determined that, although Hollywood felt better, his injury was not healing correctly. Without corrective… pic.twitter.com/xtRRMvmseq
Andy Reid said Hollywood Brown is “ahead of schedule” and attacking his rehab, but he wouldn’t commit to a certainty of seeing him this season. Called him “a relentless worker.”
DeAndre Hopkins has 11 regular season games to get up to get fully comfortable within the #chiefs offense and with Patrick Mahomes. By the time the postseason arrives, I'm told there is a real chance Hollywood Brown could return. Which would make KC's it's most complete at the…

It's called probability. He obviously has weighed the probability of a potential injury vs. not, over two decades of doing it for a living, not sitting on his couch at home, and the numbers are obviously heavily in his favor.
And lol at the idea that Andy Reid is dumb.:-) [Reply]

I never said Andy was dumb...but people insinuating that it is ok we play guys or not simply because well we havent suffered a big injury yet is. I don't think Andy is thinking like that. I think he just is willing to assume the risk. [Reply]

So, you're suggesting that Andy doesn't have the ability to assess risk using his decades of professional experience as a football coach? That he has no analytical ability?
That would also fall under the heading of insinuating that Andy is dumb, btw. [Reply]
They have whittled down practice time so much. They can't properly prepare the whole team for the new kick-off rules. Good night Nancys, have comforting worry time about something else [Reply]

He clearly sees it as getting reps>risk of injury
Mahomes, Kelce, Jones and guys like that do not need reps.
They aren't going to forget to play football.
Now Kingsley and Worthy...they need some reps. [Reply]
Seems like it’ll be a waiting game for the swelling, doesn’t seem to bad if you ask me.
Chiefs WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who spent the night at a Jacksonville-area hospital after suffering a dislocation of his sternoclavicular shoulder joint before being discharged this morning, is now back in KC. His status for KC’s regular-season opener remains uncertain.
