Just to be clear I love your art pic of him on the alligator. But..... his pet "crocodile" is an alligator. Maybe his parents told him as a kid it was a crocodile but its not. I'm sure he knows its an alligator now but the name stuck before anyone ever told them it was an alligator.

Alligators are native to the everglades. Crocodiles are in the Amazon and other places. You can tell the difference by their snouts, A long slender nose is a crocodile. His pet doesn't have the slender snout.
