Nzoner's Game Room>Do We Really Want To Go Undefeated?
Easy 6 03:27 PM 10-30-2024
Can't wait to get crushed for this opinion, but it just feels like asking for an undefeated season while chasing a threepeat is bad juju... its asking for too much IMO

I'd much rather we lose a game or two just to keep everyone frosty, to remind them that yes they can be beaten if they're not playing their best ball... look no further than the Patriots undefeated season to see what can happen when a team sniffs too many of its own farts

I don't want to meet Detroit in the Super Bowl with our heads in the clouds

Maybe I'm just being superstitious, maybe not... what say you?

I just want the 1 seed. If we have to remain undefeated to do that, then yes, I want the perfect season. If we don't have to remain undefeated to get the 1 seed, then I really don't care how many losses that means we can have. I want to get on a hot streak at the right time. The only time I absolutely want us to remain undefeated is in the post season.

Undefeated = 20-0

Anything less = not undefeated

Brown was lost for almost the whole season on his first snap in a pre-season game on a very simple play. Shit happens.

I haven't read the previous 10 pages, so apologies if I'm just repeating other's opinions.

#1 goal is winning the Super Bowl. We'd want to win even if it wasn't a potential 3rd consecutive win, but it is and that is a special kind of immortality.

#2 goal is everything else. Everything else is just extra. It's all the accessories you can get on the new car. The most important thing is the new car, but it sure would be nice to have heated seats, etc, etc. Are we going to refuse a new car because it doesn't have heated seats?

It takes a long time to get into position to threepeat. You have to build the franchise to the point that you're able to win the SB in the first place. Then you have to defy all the odds and immediately pull it off again. The Chiefs are the first team in 20 years to accomplish that feat. Then, and only then, are you ready to attempt what has never been done before.

The undefeated season has been done. We're just playing for second there. We can talk about how we would be doing it bigger and better, but it's nothing more than just being the second team to accomplish it.

The threepeat is the top of the mountain right now. It is the Holy Grail. We are on a quest. Let nothing distract us from this quest.

With respect, this opinion is insane. I mean I get caring mostly about the threepeat, but no interest in undefeated? That makes no sense at all.

There's two bulls standing on top of a mountain The younger one says to the older one: "Hey pop, let's say we run down there and **** one of them cows". The older one says: "No son. Let’s walk down and **** 'em all".

Yes. I don't believe in the myth of a "good loss"

I really just want the Three-peat. Undefeated would be pretty cool too, but the three-peat is really all that matters to me.

Andy and Pat put a stamp on being the greatest with an undefeated 3 peat. Nothing in history tops that. Add the rest of their resumes and....WOW

We've won what 14 in a row already going back to last season? So we'd also own the longest win streak in NFL history too

I guess I'll be weird and say I don't care much either way?

Win the Super Bowl and we are happy. Don't care how, but that has to be accomplished for it to be a successful year.

Andy will sit starters if he can and I think they should to an extent. Week 18 against Denver absolutely, their field is usually in dog shit shape by January and an accident waiting to happen.

Plus, this team has shown a couple times now that they can handle extended rest time and actually have looked really good off of it from what I recall.

An undefeated SB 3 peat win gives you ammo to go after the Brady stans

The only thing that really matters is the 3-peat. If they happen to go undefeated, great. But the only thing that is truly necessary is winning the SB.
