Nzoner's Game Room>The Buffalo Theory.....
Titty Meat 07:42 PM 02-14-2025
Patrick Mahomes is 17-4 in the playoffs.

3 of those losses came the game after beating Buffalo. The obly following game where the Chiefs beat Buffalo and won was the AFC title game where the Chiefs still only scored 17.

Is it possible that playing and beating Buffalo all the time in the playoffs is both mentally and physically draining or are 3 of the 4 post season losses following playing the Bills a coincidence?

The irony is that your using this kind of stuff to cope with the fact you're team hit its peak almost 5 years ago now and has exactly jack shit to show for it.

I don't cope with anything. They weren't good enough to beat KC in '22, or make the playoffs since then. Their front office is a joke and they're likely to screw up the sitch this coming FA and draft. It's all on them. Nothing imaginary.

They're a half measure organization that lags far behind the advancements of other teams in the NFL. Pointing out things that everyone else can easily see and quantify, ala, shitty Oline and D is just Captain Obvious.

Seriously? Chiefs fans are having a discussion on a Chiefs board about the Chiefs' loss in the Super Bowl to another team that was not the Bengals, and you're here giving crap to us. How is that not coping with your own teams' inadequacies?

I answered a specific point made about the Bengals game.

Not according to this.

Where is any report that he was concussed?

But what happened in the second half that caused Mahomes to be so ineffective? Andy Reid said after the game that Cincinnati didn’t do much different, other than playing more man coverage on second down. Mahomes credited the Bengals with a good game plan as it related to his scrambling ability. They put a spy on him that limited how much he was able to get with his legs.

The real problem for Mahomes was something that plagued the Chiefs early on in the season. He passed over open plays underneath looking for plays that were open downfield. He got too aggressive.

“Just a few misreads here and there,” Mahomes said. “There were guys that were open. I didn’t hit it the right time or I passed up on something shorter because I wanted to get something deeper down the field. When you’re playing a good team and you don’t hit what’s there and try to get a little bit more than what’s necessary, it kind of bites you in the butt. We were playing so well in the first half, and in the second half we were just off a tick. And that’s all it takes to lose a football game.”

I have no idea what he was doing at the end of regulation. They got inside the 5 and had Cincinnati by the throat. He refused to throw the ball on several plays where guys were open in the end zone. Game should have never gone to OT. They needed like a 45 yarder from Butker just to tie it after being inside the 5.

We needed fans to Frankie Carbone themselves again before the SB, it was the missing ingredient. I don't blame the Bills.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence at all.

In fact every team from 2019 onward that beat Buffalo went on to lose to the next opponent. Texans beat Buffalo. Then we had a miracle comebac against Texans.

We beat Bills and lose to Tampa in SB

The 13 second game you pointed out.

Bengals destroy Josh Allen at home. We proceed to beat the bengals

The outlier here is us beating the Ravens after we beat the bills. It’s not just the Chiefs.
