I've never been a huge fan of the transfer portal anyway, but there just seems like something wrong with creating a team of all transfers (and I think one freshman?)..... ah, that didn't work? Ok, send in the next batch!:-) [Reply]

You don’t want to watch this year’s version of KU then [Reply]

They have 2 freshmen and 1 "freshman". Collin Chandler is in his first year of eligibility because he just got back from his 2 year mission.
They needed the portal this year because when Pope was hired the only guy on the roster was Walker Horn, the last guy on the bench last year and Travis Perry was his only commit and they weren't sure if he was going to stay or not.
My thoughts on the portal is, you should be allowed to transfer 1 time with no restrictions but any more transfers after that, you should have to sit out a year, like the old days.
Next year they should have Perry, Noah, Oweh, Chandler and Garrison back, as well as 3 freshmen who are signed. Caleb Wilson seems to be leaning UK because he cancelled his visit to Arkansas today, so they'll probably only be looking to bring in 4 transfers next year. [Reply]
Also, i think UK is going to be a hell of a lot better than most people outside BBN thought. My question is, can they get up to #11 on next weeks ranking after beating pUKe, after starting at #23 in the preseason ranking. [Reply]

Agreed, certainly don't mind players who were maybe under-recruited or whatever getting a shot at a better school or transferring to get more playing time, etc... and there were times in the past that sitting out a year seemed dumb. And then they went the opposite way with it. [Reply]

Yeah. Transfer portal and NIL could get outta hand real quick if they don't stay on top of it. I think i read that the #1 recruit next year was looking at a deal for upwards of 4M. That.is.insane. [Reply]

Calvary College. And they scheduled Kansas Christian too. I don't really get what they are doing. Those wins won't even count in NCAA Tournament committee eyes and they are teams a Blue Valley or Lee Summit high school would beat.
Association of Christian College Athletics is barely anything as far as Im reading. Worse than D3. Just play a good NAIA or a D2 and call it a day. [Reply]
This was the first Nebrasketball game I've gotten to watch this year so I'm still getting a feel for the roster. It looks like we've lost Kesei's shooting but replaced his shitty defense and have a decent point guard with some good size in the front court. Let Fred cook usually his teams improve between now & end of January [Reply]
