So maybe the wear and tear of the regular season has reduced his playoff performance. And/or he doesn't seem to have the 'it' factor when the pressure is highest in the playoffs, especially if his team gets behind.
But I never thought he would physically last as long as he has. Yes, he hasn't finished every season. But he has finished most and is still a really effective runner.
And despite being called a RB, his passing has gotten decidedly better. Is it elite? No, but for people who say you can't improve accuracy, Lamar has gotten better.

Give him Nico Collins and Diggs back and a decent OL and I think he is still a top QB. [Reply]

Maybe some, but he's still good. Even last night I thought he looked better than his numbers. The Jets pass rush was getting after it. [Reply]

Honestly, he looks like any QB that is playing behlnd a bad OL which has sustained injuries, and is playing without his #1 AND # 2 WR's. Add to the fact that he's very young, he doesn't have much experience to draw from. [Reply]

Injury stuff going on with Houston. But even before the injuries they were not exactly torching every defense with 40 points per game.
I think Bobby Slowik and CJ Stroud both had an advantage last year as brand new OC and brand new QB. But now the league has figured out some of their tendencies. Mix in some injuries and it gets much tougher for them. [Reply]

Thats a great take. You can tell that Stroud is getting a little frustrated. [Reply]

He's a very good young QB but his flaws are starting to show.
Like Josh Allen he can get his head messed up when you switch coverages, get his head in a blender. [Reply]

Their OL has really struggled this year. You could also tell Stroud looked worse when Collins got hurt. It was night and day difference. Then he lost Diggs.
Of course teams now have ample film on the kid and know him better so they are starting to exploit him but the losses on offense have really hurt him [Reply]
