Nzoner's Game Room>We owe Wanya Morris an apology
RunKC 11:58 AM 11-11-2024
Didn’t realize just how bad it could be without him and boy was it bad.

Say what you want but the kid is a functional LT that is getting better. It’s hard finding average LT’s but I’d say he’s pretty damn close to average and that’s okay.

He’s the same caliber as Donovan Smith to me but he’s young and not falling apart.

Say what you want guys….getting a functional starting LT that is steady and not a bust at the end of rd 3 is an A+ draft pick.

Believe the hit rate in rd 3 is roughly 15% so getting this type of value is a big value to us.

TJ Watt jerkoffs to photos of Wayna Morris like Clay does to Gracie Hunt.

Seriously. It's not going to go well if Wayna ever has to go 1v1 vs. Watt when we play them. ditto vs. Highsmith or Hightower, whoever their other OLB is. And it will happen, because Andy will leave his OTs on islands several times/game.

Kingsley's performance last week made people forget Wanya's Christmas Day debacle. Wanya was Orlando Pace last Christmas compared to this.

Do we kick the tires on Donovan smith at this point? Not as a long term option. Even without playing all year I probably trust him more than Kingsley. And I also feel like later in the season we will have lots of liberty to give wanya some breathers to make sure he is 100%

According to Nate Taylor, the Chiefs will monitor Morris this week, and if the injury keeps nagging him, Smith is ready to come in and go ASAP.

Great. Now Buffalo will make him a big offer just to block us...

If they really wanted to bring back Smith, why not do it now? They need a backup for Wanya because even if he isn't hurt right this second, he will be soon.

Fisher's injury really sucked.
At this point in their careers, Morris is probably on par with where Fisher was at the same point.

He’s developing, for sure. Noticeably improved from last year. Just gotta get and keep him healthy somehow and keep developing him.

Fisher got smoked a few times his first 2-3 years. He got smoked even in his prime (he probably still has nightmares about James Harrison).

Bro, this. Like we have to sign him ANYWAY IMO. If Wanya goes down then what????

Wanya and Smith at least gives us two DECENT tackles that can at least get their hands on a guy. Kingsley apparently thinks the NFL tackle position is a game of hot potato.
