BTJ Preseason Grade on CBS:
23. Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jaguars
Grade: A
Thomas Jr. averaged 17.3 yards per snag in his final season at LSU and continued to act as a splash-play specialist in the preseason, with three catches for 93 yards. Remember, this is a nearly 6-foot-3, 210-pounder with 4.33 speed.
Damn, congrats to him!

I haven't been paying close attention to CAR obviously, but I think I remember seeing a couple reports that they really went out and tried to upgrade their offensive pieces, though besides Diontae Johnson, I couldn't tell you exactly who they got.
For Young's sake, I hope they did, and I hope Canales finds ways to keep him from getting killed. Just don't believe that Canales is some offensive magician. I feel pretty strongly that Baker had a pretty significant influence on TB's offensive successes last year, and that it should really be looked at as more of a collaborative season, rather than some miraculous rescue mission by Canales. Ymmv.
