More to come!

Nazeeh Johnson was drafted with pick 259 of round 7 in the 2022 draft class. He scored a 9.09 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 80 out of 868 FS from 1987 to 2022. https://t.co/CCvkv5wDRX #RAS #Chiefs pic.twitter.com/XV0mCTt2bk

I noticed a very specific shortcoming with him yesterday and it stands in stark contrast to what we see from McDuffie (usually).

He doesn't gear down well. When he tries to change direction, it takes him an extra step to get his momentum shifted. Or he loses his footing.

He's going to really struggle with quick outs and comebacks, IMO. And if he starts to cheat on those, he'll get smoked by double moves.

It's going to be an interesting thing to monitor going forward. At least I'll try to keep an eye on it. But from the stands whenever I watched him (which was pretty common as Uche was the guy I wanted to see and mostly he was either on the sideline or just running into the LT), he was really struggling with the shorter, quicker movements.

He was okay yesterday, but from what I saw he's going to end up a mark on 3rd and short and/or goalline situations where you're looking for quick, easy money. And I think he'll eventually start selling out a little bit on those routes so we'll need the safeties to be aware of that behind him.

Because he's coming downhill.

He often looked like a safety playing CB, IMO. He just didn't seem comfortable making sharp cuts and exploding out of them. Which is a pretty common thing for safeties and usually WHY they end up playing safety.

I don't recall - was he playing safety coming into the draft?

A lot of folks were down on Joshua Williams and he does give away some dumb penalties but he rarely gives up touchdowns. Johnson is just plain bad. We saw him get targeted against the Niners and then he got a concussion. Then he came back and literally played 90% of the snaps last week and Joshua only played 7%. That worried me and today my concerns we confirmed. He's 26 and this is his first year statting. He doesn't have the game or experience to be a starter imo. Williams must be CB two now.
