If their evaluations are this consistently wrong, and their player development this poor, I don't see a meaningful upward trajectory for the program. [Reply]

The portal giveth, the portal taketh away.
Missouri had a real chance to build on last year. To prove they weren't a fluke. Instead, in typical, historical fashion, they fell flat on their faces. These kids are going to flee like rats from a sinking ship. And who could fucking blame them? :-) [Reply]

Hubris at it's worst....Drink thought he could ride with only Cook and didn't learn the lesson that FSU learned last year and other teams, including Mizzou, are learning this year....you need a good backup plan.
A possibly perfect year to put Mizzou in a great position to have some positive exposure and earn recruiting points...now it's possible that Mizzou may only win 2 more games at the most. [Reply]
Wouldn't have mattered. This team wasn't accomplishing shit regardless with a healthy Cook. Texas A&M completely shattered any faith left I had in this staff. [Reply]

Yeah, that was a bit disappointing to hear and really gives me 0 hope they'd ever let him start. They're gonna just run Pyne out the last 4 games and run the most vanilla offense possible. I mean he's shit, but they were doing him any favors with their play calling. [Reply]

I'm not a Eli fan whatsoever, but recruits are definitely not telling Mizzou no right now. [Reply]
Rollers visited Penn State for a free trip to see a top 5 matchup. He said as much before and after the visit. I don’t think he’s going anywhere.
The timing of Sam Horn’s elbow injury put Mizzou in a tough spot.
It couldn’t very well chase QBs hard early in the portal window, or risk running off Horn. Then he blows out his elbow playing baseball and they have to scramble in the late window.
Pyne, on paper, was a decent fit. Someone who had some success at a major levell at one point, experienced, and available. Obviously, he sucks.
Margins are slim at QB these days unless you can afford major NIL investments on 3 guys. You can’t really stack a ton of ready-to-play depth there because of the portal. Need to get a little lucky there, and Mizzou has not. [Reply]
