Nzoner's Game Room>Let’s talk about the Buffalo Bills
pugsnotdrugs19 04:20 PM 11-10-2024
CBS sending their pre-game show on-site for this one; pretty much unheard of for a regular season game

Chiefs came out healthy today from what I saw. Bills TE Dalton Kincaid left game today with knee injury.

I think Kansas City will bring it for this one, but Buffalo should too. Can’t wait.

Allen has thrown 4 INTs in his past three games, including 2 today.

Bills pass rush is pretty average. Their run defense is below average and vulnerable, however they are the best team in the league by a wide margin in turnover margin at +13.

With Coleman and Kincaid (likely) out, the Chiefs need to do their thing focusing on stopping the run and forcing them into 3rd and long

True

Playoff games are just close.

Getting the 1 seed is a big deal IMO.

Who on Buffalo is taking away our passing options?

Even if they stick Taron Johnson on Kelce or Hopkins, who can't take either guy away fully, that just means the other guy is gonna have opportunities galore. On top of JJSS.

I think Mahomes would have to be awful, which he won't be, for us not to score in the 27 range.

We may have never trailed in the 4th, but those games were definitely a bit too close for comfort.

Yeah, I think a team of our caliber should be able to win a Wild Card game handily but anything Divisional and beyond is expected to be a dogfight.

Although I would absolutely love to win a Super Bowl in blowout fashion.
Went back and looked and yea the Falcon game was down to the last play, the rest though nah not really. I believe Atlanta benefited from some really ticky tack calls that whole drive looking at the drive summary.

We shut out the Chargers in the 2nd half. That game wasn't nearly as close as the box score just like the Raiders game.

There are blown calls in every game. Expecting perfection from the referees is unrealistic. Right now we have almost all of the rest of the fans in the NFL rooting against us and acting like they have a right to expect perfection from the referees when it comes to calls against the Chiefs. They have no such expectation on calls that work for the Chiefs, because they don't want those calls to be made.

I would love to see someone do a fair analysis of calls/blown calls that work for the Chiefs and against the Chiefs. Then I would like to see how that compares to the rest of the teams in the league. Finally, if that analysis is done fairly and shows that the Chiefs are benefitting from calls more so than the rest of the league, then do the same analysis with other teams that have been the golden children of the NFL like the Patriots, etc.

Once that is done, then I will listen to people that want to claim that the NFL is favoring the Chiefs.

Josh Allen and McDermott treat this game like it's their super bowl every year and play it with that intensity. We always seem to play it as if it's another game, because that's what it is. So I just don't get all that excited by it, since the team as a whole seems pretty non-plussed about it.
I like that it's in Buffalo and their fans and players will be UP for it. Because I think the Chiefs are going to shatter their hopes Sunday. To see those tears will be marvelous.

I don’t see anyone blowing out the Lions (if they make it). Should be an awesome matchup though. And Mahomes having to hear about how he’s winless against Goff for 2 weeks will be lots of added motivation!

I mean I'm all about beating them in their version of the super bowl. I just tend to follow our team's excitement for a game and I just don't feel it from them on this regular season Bill's games.

I think you will be surprised.

If there is one thing that gets this team up for a RS game, it's being the underdog.

Maybe Cincy in 2022?
I'd personally say Eagles last season... they went weeks playing shit team after shit team and I think the Chargers game was the only decent game I watched to that point of the season.

I don't remember being particularly excited about the 2022 Bengals game leading up to it, but at some point during the game remember having one of those moments of true appreciation for the Chiefs being in those heavyweight match ups.

Pretty much the same this week... I'm not crazy excited for it, but feel like once the 3rd/4th quarter rolls around, I'll be pretty amped up if it's looking like they have a good chance to take the stranglehold on the conference.

They've set the bar so high for worrying, the games you mentioned don't hit the radar at all... it takes something like this past weekend (and not until they were well within FG range and you knew they could run the clock down to nothing), or like the Broncos game last year that was 4 quarters of shit (hell, they still could have won Christmas Day).

They definitely make shit harder than it needs to be, but plenty of games don't feel nearly as close as the score indicates, mostly due to the other team struggling to move the ball.

I wasn’t complaining about the refs, more so dispelling the notion that the Falcons game wasn’t in doubt.

It was a good win but it was very much in doubt. I just checked the play-by-play to confirm and we got away with a blatant DPI in the end zone with 4:08 left in the 4th. At that point the score was 22-17.

Actually, the score remained 22-17 for the final four legit drives of the game. We went 3 & out, they drove 83 yards only to turn it over on downs inside the red zone, we went 3 & out again, they drove 50 yards down the field only to turn it over on downs.
