Any fans of Tim Robinson's "I Think You Should Leave" sketch comedy show on Netflix? Well if so A24 bought the rights to a movie that is called "Friendship" and it stars Robinson and Paul Rudd. It was shown at a few festivals back at the end of 2024 and they just released the trailer today. I think it looks hilarious, especially if you like Tim Robinson.
Thought the first one was pretty good. And The Punisher is back in it in what looks like a more substantial role. I will definitely be checking it out. Ben Afflack definitely is looking a little rougher around the edges.

How was Bateman? I haven't seen a single movie of his that was good. He doesn't seem to be a very good actor and is running on some kind of old teenage girl crush boy appeal he enjoyed decades ago. Identity Thief had the potential of being a good movie but the screenwriter seemed intent on torturing the audience with such bad material I was wishing someone would come into the theater and shoot me barely halfway through. Not to give too much away, he was just a voice on a phone/earpiece for like 75% of the movie. He’s got a great voice so there’s that..
Personally, I think he works best as a comedic straight man. He didn’t stand out either good or bad in this one, IMO. [Reply]
