I have a 3d printer and have never really printed anything very large. I've always wanted one of the leg lamps from a Christmas story. A couple weeks ago I decided to buckle down and make one since I have the means of doing so. It got me to thinking, what odd hobbies do you all have? I've always printed and finished smaller items, I think my new hobby is printing large things and making them look awesome. See the pictures of my major award.
My hobby, which I do for about 30 minutes at the end of every day, is flattening Amazon delivery boxes and putting them in the recycling bin.
My wife introduced me to this hobby and encourages me to do it every day. [Reply]
I’m getting more interested in getting a 3d printer. Not exactly sure how the design parts work but I’m likely going to get one.
Today I’m going to start making bees wax candles. I’ve had the stuff for a few years but never buckled down and poured any. I’m going to do a couple boxes of emergency tins candles, some votives and then try some of the molds. [Reply]

If you had a dildo or giant fist mold I'd buy about 10 as Christmas gifts for the office... [Reply]

Private 3D printing is highly useful for creating custom, one-off items quickly and efficiently, allowing for personalization and prototyping but the equipment can definitely wind up collecting some dust in-between projects. [Reply]
