Christian Kirk is more like it... he's already playing in a Reid offshoot system, and Jax is going nowhere anyway
Andy has already hinted at the fact that knowing, or at least having a passing knowledge of his system, would be key in integrating someone into the receiver room 4 games into the season
Please stay on topic. This thread is about embedding. [Reply]

Cooper's meh is still better then what we have without Rice and Brown. He also is cap friendly. Sure rather have Kirk but not sure how we get him under the cap. [Reply]

Cooper is not meh, man.
He put up 1200+ yards wiht the garbage the Browns had at QB last year and can still route up just about anyone you put on him. [Reply]
Yeah, I looked at that too. Thing is, from 2022-the present, he's been trying to catch passes from Deshaun Watson. And when you look at Watson's advanced passing stats, he's throwing a lot of bad passes since moving to CLE (last season 21% of his throws were 'bad passes,' in 2024 on pace for 85 bad throws) and his 'on target%' is a whopping 61.8%. Haven't checked, but that's probably close to worst in the league.
Ah, but Watson only played in 4-5 games, right? Well, PJ walker was the first backup QB after Watson in 2023. And his 'bad throw%' was 29.9% and his 'on target%' was even worse than Watson's, at 57%.
So, as a SWAG, I'm going to say that not al of those drops were on Cooper. [Reply]
