I think we can all agree that our offense has been "off" all season, minus the Bears and Chargers games. Mahomes hasn't looked himself by and large, and that could well be because of the talent around him, but watching the plays unfold just makes me wonder why some of the plays are being called in the first place.
Today was an abomination on many fronts with the offense but it sure looked a good deal like an Alex Smith game plan, minus Mahomes' patented making something out of nothing scramble drill passes. The run plays were predictable and getting nothing, but they kept forcing them. We threw the ball laterally as much as horizontally (seemingly), and the plays themselves just look, well, off.
Is it Nagy, is it Mahomes, is it the talent outside of Mahomes and Kelce, or is it a combination of all that? Or was this game just an outlier and our annual piss down our legs game as has been suggested, and I'm just OMG-ing for no good reason?
Something FEELS different than in the past so far this season. I would love to put my finger on what it is, precisely. [Reply]

It’s unbelievable that Doug has a good QB like Lawrence and has made him worse and worse every year despite building up the roster.
Kafka doesn’t look any better either and he’s had Slayton, Nabers and Saquon in his time there.
Nagy made Trubisky and Fields look respectable despite neither being starting QB’s in this league. Pretty much says it all
Pederson won a Super Bowl with Nick Foles. Don't know what you're talking about about in regards to Fields either, looked completely awful under Nagy. [Reply]
Nobody cares what Doug did in a month with Foles. Congrats?
The guy has been an abomination in Jacksonville. He’s got an above average talent at QB and has stocked that roster with BTJ, Ettiene, Davis, Kirk and Engram.
It is unbelievable how Doug has fucked that kid up despite good surrounding talent. He isn’t good.
Idk how anyone can watch what he’s doing in Jacksonville and think he would add anything of value to this franchise. [Reply]
I thought it was interesting that when EB left and they promoted Nagy back to OC, WR coach Greg Lewis left for the Ravens. This was after we won the SB that year. I have the feeling he got pissed that he didn't get the chance at OC. If you look at the WR position during his years as WR coach, we were a lot better. I remember the press asking Andy why he left, and he really didn't answer. I would bring him back as OC. So far I haven't been impressed with what Connor Embree has done with our WR's. [Reply]
I can’t figure out why Mahomes is not playing well this year. I mean Kingsley, Steele, Watson and Hardman are playing meaningful starting snaps through at least 3 games a piece, his TE is 35 and Rashee Rice still leads the WR’s in yards despite not playing since week 4.
How interesting that since acquiring Hopkins, Mahomes has a 6/1 TD/INT ratio with over 800 yards passing and would be on pace for 4,600+ yards and 34 TD’s.
