Yeah, it's been somewhat downhill since his rookie year and they badly need someone to help Trey. He played better the 2nd half of last year and flashed pretty good against the Eagles but he's not nearly the consistent performer they need.

I'm really not sure he's even a good OC.

He's not a massive failure like Nat Hackett or Freddie Kitchens. I think he's just good enough to know how to not fuck up anything good, but I just never see him coach his way out of sticky situations. I don't think he knows how.

I wouldn't even go so far to call him the Robert Saleh of offense head coaches. He's just not good enough as a coordinator or offensive coach, and I think he's shitty resume prior to earning the head coaching job bears that out.

Like their residents after a Skyline run, they sure shit their pants good

Ya he's better than the Haleys of the world. Herm with an actually decent QB? I mean Burrow obviously isn't the same anymore and we see it in that record :-)

Yeah agree

Keeping with the theme of recent conversation:

It was vs Bill Walsh both times in addition to Montana the Great. Obviously couldn't stand that QB for many years, but time has helped me overcome that to appreciate Montana's greatness.

In those years Bengals had #1 seeds hosting the AFCC, MVP player, and were fairly innovative.

Bill Walsh and Montana

As of he has nothing. Chase, Higgins and Gosecki as pretty damn good. Joe isn't good enough to make up for lack of super weapons
