New series to debut on Paramount network staring Kevin Costner. Trailer looks pretty good writer is Taylor Sheridan of the Sicario film series. Just my opinion but seams a loose take on Cliven Bundy.

Seems like they intend to leave a fair bit of this unresolved for the purposes of the rumored spin-off.
I mean whatever happens from a long-term perspective just CAN'T happen in a matter of days, weeks and probably even months. They can kill off a character or two (or 5) and not reach a real resolution as to the fate of the ranch, etc...
But they don't seem to be doing much to even move things in that direction. This mostly just seems to be a journey to see how things end for Jaime and they'll call that the conclusion of the story.
Maybe they're looking to create a Full House style sitcom with Rip, Beth, Carter, Tate, Monica and Kaycee. Lloyd as the crazy neighbor. Makes as much sense as anything they seem to be building towards at this point. [Reply]
Kaycee finds out who the bald guy is that set up the hit on his dad and…gets in the car and threatens him?
Why didn’t he take the guy out? What purpose does it serve to send a warning here? This guy killed your dad and you know it. He’s obviously a problem and doing what you did will only piss him off more to force retaliation endangering Kaycee’s family even further.
Really thought Kaycee was gonna take that guy out or kidnap him. What a weak series of events.
It is so stupid after all these years Kaycee suddenly can just call a Navy buddy and gets the low down on who killed his Dad? Where was this crap when they were attacked years ago? Being a SEAL doesn't give some forever unlimited knowledge to assassin's. Pretty sure it doesn't work that way. [Reply]
How would his friend know anything anyway? It wasn't the government that did it. I get. Its a tv show but good grief this is game of thrones ignorant. Why did the ranch hand have to die? Can they not just wrap it up in some sensible fashion? They are all killers. They lose the land and Jamie goes to jail. That's it. Rip can move and start his own ranch with the other workers. All this gangster crap is ridiculous [Reply]

I think the idea is that you neutralize the head of the snake, so to speak. If you cut it off and a new head grows in its place, you have to start from square 1. But if you know who's in charge of that organization (and that's my understanding; this is a hit 'squad' not just a lone guy) and you have your thumb on his pressure points, he continues to steer the organization away from you. Whereas if you kill him outright and someone else moves to the top of the organization, you've perhaps escalated things further and in so doing, my not be able to exert that sort of leverage on the NEXT guy.
All of these major loose ends that need tied up in a hurry, and this was the best Sheridan could do? This is gonna be a Walking Dead level disappointing finale
You wanna know who SHOULD have died in this episode?
Fucking Jimmy, I'm so sick of Sheridan wasting time on that character, every minute spent on him could be used to further a far more interesting plot point [Reply]

I've been hoping beyond hope that Monica and Tate would buy it throughout this series. Then you just take Kaycee off the leash and he becomes Baba Yaga for the last season or two.
Would've been better than THIS, that's for damn sure.
And if you're gonna bring back worthless characters that serve no purposes in the story, BRING BACK LARAMIE!!! That is a shapely young lady right there... [Reply]

Yeah the wife and kid getting whacked would've certainly amped up the drama, lol
There just isn't enough sizzle going on this late in the game... Rips sitting around smashing glasses, Jimmy is still a worthless nerd in Texas, and Kayce somehow tracks down and threatens the elite assassin boss in like 30 seconds with no real explanation as to exactly HOW
It was a hurried and sloppy episode, just like so many of these shows they'll totally botch the ending... same as TWD, GOT, and all of the rest [Reply]
